Big Gay Weekend is back
After its successful debut in 2011, this October long weekend (September 28-October 1) will see the return of the Big Gay Weekend.
Held as a fundraiser for the Sydney Mardi Gras Festival and Parade Community Grants Scheme, in conjunction with the NSW Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby, Queer Screen and Harbour City Bears, the weekend “is shaping up to be a big one” according to organisers.
Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras announced its return today with a swish new logo (pictured).
The weekend will be packed with parties and fundraisers, with Oxford St venues and promoters hosting shows, bands, cocktails and entertainment.
Big Gay Weekend events kick off from Friday, September 28.
