If Jesus Christ was alive today, I cannot see him, as the Christian person that he was, and the great person that he was, saying this (same-sex marriage) could not happen
IN an interview with the UK’s Sky News, Elton John said that globally gay rights was going backwards and that biblical figure Jesus Christ would support same-sex marriage if he were alive today.
While praising the Pope Francis for his humanitarian work, the openly-gay singer made comments on how he would like to see the modern-day Catholic Church evolve:
“If Jesus Christ were alive today, I cannot see him, as the Christian person that he was, and the great person that he was, saying this could not happen. He was all about love and compassion and forgiveness and trying to bring people together and that is what the church should be about.”
