FORMER N*SYNC boy band singer Lance Bass will marry his partner Michael Turchin on December 20, which will then be part of a televised special on the E! Network on February 5.

The special, called Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding, will be the first US television broadcast of a celebrity marriage between two men, according to the network.

The 90-minute special will also include a a behind-the-scenes glimpse into their lives leading up to the wedding day.

“It’s spectacular that people care that much, one just about our wedding, it’s so special that people care. But two, that people are so excited about a gay wedding,” Bass said.

He also spoke about the importance of having a gay wedding broadcast on TV.

“As a little kid from Mississippi, I would have loved to have seen something like this on my television because there’s a lot of little kids out there in small towns that need something like this,” he said.

There is speculation there may be some form of N*SYNC reunion minus Justin Timberlake, who is currently on tour.
