Sydney singer-songwriter Brett Every returns with his third album, Menu, which may just be his best work to date.

On what is an unashamedly queer collection of bluesy torch songs (Romeo is a heartrending ode to a lost love), the album’s centrepiece is undoubtedly Man Walks Into A Bar, a bittersweet tale of a gay man meeting himself aged 20, 40 and 60.

Throughout, guest vocalists including Estelle Noonan and Penny Flanagan add sweet counterparts to Every’s gravelly voice. Find it on iTunes ahead of a physical release next month.
