New DIVA launches website

The people behind the refreshed DIVA awards have launched a new website.
The site, at www.divaawardsaustralia.com.au, features showgirl biographies, fundraiser information, photos, downloads and details of the organistion.
“As we have had a number of requests and informal nominations for 2009 Hall of Fame, we have put a simple form up on the website for showgirls and supporters alike to share their nominations with us,” a DIVA spokesperson wrote in an official communication.
“We do ask that you please include a paragraph with reasons as to why you think that your nominee is deserving of this prestigious award. You can access this form from the main page of the website.”
This Sunday, September 20, Stonewall and Polly Petrie are hosting a special Polly’s Follies DIVA Fundraiser.
Meanwhile, the DIVA Launch night will be held on Monday, September 21 at the Polo Lounge (upstairs of the Oxford Hotel) from 7.30pm.
