IN the lead up to new show on MTV and his The Toddlerz Ball US tour, YouTube star Todrick Hall has released a glammed-up LGBTI parody of the opening scene of Disney classic Beauty and the Beast.

The parody video features Colleen Ballinger, aka Miranda Sings as lead character Belle, with appearances from Rupaul, N*SYNC singer Lance Bass, Ariana Grande’s brother and Big Brother US graduate Frankie Grande, Daniel Franzese from Mean Girls, and an entourage of other dancers, singers, gay YouTube bloggers, comedians and RuPaul’s Drag Race alumni.

The clip was also filmed on location in West Hollywood, one of Los Angeles’ “gaybourhoods”.

In a recent chat with the The Andrew and Troy Show on online gay radio station OX Gold, Hall explained why he thought gay men seem to love Disney so much.

“I don’t think it is just the gay guys, I think gay guys specifically have a connection with it because we all at heart are hopeless romantics and we all grew up watching these Disney stories and wanting to either be the princess or wanting to marry the prince,” he said.

Having recently visited Australia, Hall, who is also a singer, expressed his love for his Aussie fans.

“I never knew I had so many fans in Australia,” he said.

“When I came there a few months ago to visit, it was such an amazing time, I had a meet-up with fans and over 100 kids came in Sydney and in Brisbane.”
