QUT studies stigma

The Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane is running a survey on HIV stigma and health.

The study will examine the role of unhelpful patterns of thinking in connection with HIV stigma (e.g. feeling judged, isolated, or segregated) and the experience of distressing feelings, thoughts and behaviours in gay and bisexual men (and other men who have sex with men) who are living with HIV.

It’s hoped the study will help increase understanding of the effects of HIV stigma on health in an effort to provide more effective preventative measures and treatments.

The research team is offering participants entry into a draw for two $100 iTunes vouchers on completion of the survey. Identifying information will be separated from the survey data to maintain confidentiality and anonymity.
