Eclectic Aussie singer/songwriter Brendan Maclean is back with gold, glitter, near nudity  and a free download of his latest single ‘Winner’. The new electro pop track, produced by the talented Paul Ma,c is a beautiful transition from Maclean’s early music like ‘Airport People’.

When the Star Observer spoke with Maclean he told us that ‘Winner’ is about the envy a person feels when looking at other artist’s social media profiles, where all they do is post the positive aspects to their lives, creating envy for those who may be having a bad day.

The one-take video clip, played in reverse and in slow motion, took the Maclean crew two days to rehearse the camera sequence and five takes to film the actual clip. In the fourth clip, Maclean told us that through technical difficulties with the smoke machine and the glitter gun, they actually set a field alight.

When asked about the beginning of the clip, where Brendan appears naked in just a pair of white briefs: “It was my idea, although I may have done a few push-ups before each take and will probably should not have eaten as much cheesecake and nachos in the weeks leading up to the clip”.

The clip is available to download from iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/au/album/winner/id705332246?i=705332340
