Bears AGM approaching

Harbour City Bears’ (HCB) annual general meeting (AGM) is scheduled for Sunday, July 3 at noon at ACON’s new offices at 414 Elizabeth Street, Surry Hills.

Attendance at the AGM allows members to have a say in how they want the club to move forward in the coming year.

The AGM will also see elections for theHCB committee, with positions up for election including president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and five ordinary members of the committee.

In order for a nomination to be valid the person nominated must be a current member of HCB and be eligible to vote at the AGM.

The proposer and seconder must be current members of HCB and be eligible to vote at the AGM.

Nominations forms must be properly completed and returned to the Public Officer, in person or via [email protected], no later than 1pm on Sunday, June 26 2011.

Members unable to attend the AGM can give their vote to another member as a proxy so that they may vote on your behalf. However no member may hold more than five proxies.

Proxy forms are available on the Harbour City Bears website or from [email protected]

Forms must be returned to the secretary in person or to [email protected] before midday on Saturday, July 2.
