Lesbian expo returns

Lesbian expo returns

The Lesbian Health Action Group (LHAG) is holding their second annual International Lesbian Day expo this year and is hoping to expand upon last year’s great turnout. More than 500 people took part in 2011 and so far organisers are expecting more than 700 to attend this year’s event.

LHAG’s entertainment line-up will be headlined by recently out and proud country singer Beccy Cole.

Jules Woo, Eleanor Jackson, Betsy Turcott and others will also perform on the day.

The day is a celebration of the lesbian community and an attempt to raise awareness of issues it often faces.

The expo will be held from noon-6pm on October 6 at The Wickham hotel.

LHAG is a volunteer group formed by Queensland Association for Healthy Communities to help the wellbeing and health of lesbians and same-sex attracted women in Queensland.
