Black is back
Indigenous queer collective, the House of Blackstar has announced the exciting line-up for its Mardi Gras party. Acts announced include Washington DJ Vjuan Allure, Northern Territory drag diva Miss Ellaneous, Josie Baker, Sash Fearless, DJ Blackbooty Supreme and more.
The party, to be held at Hunky Dory on Oxford St on February 26, will be hosted by the sexy Hot Chocolates and Brown Shuga and MCed by 2010 Deadly Award nominee Alan Clarke. The fun kicks off at lunchtime and will continue all the way to midnight.
“We are tired of the norm and we are fed up with the expected. We plan to bring something new and innovative — something gay, black and very fierce,” Blackstar founder Brown Shuga said.
