Gaga: I’m the B in LGBTI

Lady Gaga has given an in-depth interview to US gay magazine The Advocate about her love of her gay fan base, LGBTI activism and how she considers herself part of the community.

“My love for my gay fans is just pure, authentic love for them as supporters of me from the beginning, and me feeling connected to their struggles as someone who is a part of their fight,” she told the magazine.

She also discussed her attraction to other women in the past and said she categorised herself as an actual member of the LGBTI community. “Yes, the B letter,” she said.

Asked about criticism that she was using the gay community to sell records, Gaga said it was one of the most ridiculous statements anyone could make about her as a person.

“I would say the top thing I think about every single day of my life, other than my fans, loving the music, and my family being healthy, is social justice and equality,” she said.
