Cosmo Jarvis is making serious waves with his song about gay love on the high seas.
Gay Pirates has been praised by comedian Stephen Fry and the home-made video has become an internet sensation.
The sea shanty tells of Cosmo’s relationship with a shipmate called Sebastian and the rough deal they get from the captain and crew.
It’s somewhat surprising then that the 21-year-old Brit is, in fact, straight. Perhaps being an outside observer is what allows him to bring a new perspective to a very old story.
Gay Pirates is available to download from iTunes now and features on the singer’s sophomore album Is The World Strange Or Am I?
