Giving us Sweet Nothing

He is one of the biggest names in the world right now and the incredible set by international DJ/producer Calvin Harris was a highlight of Sydney Mardi Gras 2011 party.

His latest single Sweet Nothing – a collaboration with Florence Welch (from Florence and the Machine) is aleady setting dancfloors alight all over the world following its official release on October 14.

Directed by Vincent Haycock, who has created many a cool video for Harris in the past, the fantastic clip accompanying the hot new track has been a major hit online for a number of weeks now, attracting over 6 million views in less than a month.

The heady video features Florence in scenes depicting the destructive demise of a relationship with a lover with whom she shares such a deep connection that when he gets hurt, she feels the pain.

Sweet Nothing is the latest single by Calvin Harris and will feature on his upcoming album, titled 18 Months, due out at the end of October.  The much anticipated album – the follow up to Ready For The Weekend – will also feature his massive hits Bounce (featuring Kelis), Feel So Close, and We Found Love (with Rihanna). In the meantime you can download Sweet Nothing right here.

It’s not the first time Harris has teamed up with Welch. Just months ago he produced a remix of another fantastic track for Florence and the Machine called Spectrum (Say My Name). The fabulously queer video of the original track was directed by photographer/artist David LaChapelle.
