World-ending remix of Britney
Swedish pop duo Koralleven have turned their hands to Britney Spears’ Till The World Ends.
It’s an epic remix which is part of the pair’s forthcoming mixtape, A Dream Within A Dream.
Popular music blogger ArjanWrites is already singing its praises:
“Close your eyes and imagine a post-apocalyptic world with nothing but dust and destruction. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, this is a big number filled with a sittering guitars and a synth intro that builds tension and erupts into huge, cavernous drums. Britney’s processed chant as reimagined by Koralleven serves up both mourning and defiance that is truly compelling.”
The song even includes an introductory soundbite from Lars Von Trier’s apocalyptic film Melancholia, just to add to that impending sense of doom.
