Barry Manilow coming to Oz
Lock up your grandmothers, Barry Manilow is heading to Australia for the first time since 1996!
The 67-year-old sex symbol will perform a series of concerts across the country in April 2011.
Australian audiences are in for a special treat as Barry plans to team up with a different symphony orchestra in each state.
The man behind such classics as Mandy, Could It Be Magic and Copacabana (below) last made headlines in this country in June 2006 when officials blasted his tunes to deter gangs from congregating in residential areas late at night.
For your own blast of Barry, buy tickets to one of the following concerts from Ticketek.
7 April – Entertainment Centre – Brisbane
9 April – Acer Arena – Sydney
11 April – Rod Laver Arena – Melbourne
13 April – Entertainment Centre – Adelaide
16 April – Sandalford Estate – Swan Valley
Support the Star Observer… while you still can
LGBTQIA+ media is under threat. Queer content is censored by tech conglomerates who amplify bigotry and push out AI slop — so we receive less financial support than ever.
When our community is muzzled and intolerance intensifies, we need queer media more than ever. Your donation means we can continue paying queer journalists to write queer news.
Don’t rely on the straight lies of big tech – support Star Observer instead and donate now.

What a great way to start the day! Thanks SSO.
