Lights and music
Sydneysiders, get ready to watch the city light up — the Vivid Festival of Lights, Music and Ideas kicks off this Friday, May 25. The fortnight-long festival combines performances by world-class musical acts like Janelle Monae and Florence and the Machine, the Vivid Ideas program of talks and forums, and, of course, the dazzling light shows illuminating the iconic Sydney Opera House sails.
