Australia’s First Lady of Rock, Carol Lloyd, will grace the stage at this Sunday’s Brisbane Pride Festival Fair Day, accompanying an already amazing line-up.

Lloyd will be one of many great headline acts to entertain the crowd this weekend, joining the likes of Katie Noonan, X-Factor finalist Paige Pheonix, Sarah McLeod and ZIA.

The rock legend has thrown her support behind Queensland Association for Healthy Communities (QAHC) given its recent turbulence though she has always been a supporter of the organisation. She has even been made a patron of the organisation along with The Hon. Michael Kirby, Dr. David Bradford and legendary entertainer Toye de Wilde

“Carol is always happy to lend her profile to Healthy Communities LGBT health and wellbeing work and recently spoke at our ‘Queer Without Fear’ domestic violence resource launch,” Healthy Communities marketing co-ordinator Jason Russo told Star Observer.

“Having lived an interesting life, Carol can often speak from experience on the causes that Healthy Communities fights to address.”

Lloyd rose to prominence in the 1970s as lead singer of Railroad Gin and went on to front her own successful band.

She will available at the Healthy Communities tent on Sunday for autographs following her performance there at 3pm.
