Gay and lesbian rights, now with more funny

CHARLIE Pickering will headline a star-studded comedy line-up at the Victorian Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby’s LOLGBTIQ fundraiser.

The former co-host of The Project will appear alongside comedy darlings Kate McLennan, Nath Valvo and Toby Halligan, just to name a few.

It’s been a big year so far for the VGLRL, as the lobby ramps up its activities towards November’s state election in Victoria.

After pushing for a major announcement early in the year on the Victorian Government’s plans to allow historical convictions for gay sex to be expunged, the lobby looks set to continue making sure LGBTI issues are at the heart of the election campaign.

The VGLRL’s LOLGBTIQ Comedy Fundraiser will be on Friday, August 1 at the GH Hotel in St Kilda, and doors open 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Tickets are $30, will all revenue going to the lobby.

But if the Liberals win majority government in Victoria, then of course adoption equality will not happen!
