A new orchestra – Orchestra Romantique – is being launched in Sydney on August 8, with cute-as-a-button young conductor Nicholas Carter (pictured) at the helm. It is Australia’s first and only orchestra dedicated to the performance of Romantic-era works, with affordable ticket prices for performances (from $10 to $20). The inaugural performance will be held at the Paddington Town Hall on Sunday, August 8 at 5pm.
