We will very soon know the outcome of the postal survey on marriage equality in this country.

Before this is announced, advocacy group just.equal are keen to know how LGBTIQ+ Australians experienced the survey and what people’s thoughts are about the proposed legislation, should there be a Yes vote.

just.equal survey  As many of you may be aware there is a private member’s bill expected to be introduced to the Senate later this week, to provide exemptions that go beyond Australia’s current legal protections for religions.

There is also an alternative bill being drafted that takes these exemptions further.

It is therefore important that LGBTIQ+ people have a say on the extent to which they support or oppose the provisions in these bills that allow for these forms of legal discrimination.

The survey generally takes less than five minutes to complete.
