Cohen quits rugby

British rugby star and the object of much gay lust, Ben Cohen, has announced his retirement from the sport — and he’ll be spending his spare time fighting homophobia and bullying.

“I have reached the top in my sport,” Cohen told fans via his website.

“It has been an incredible journey and has put me in the privileged position I am in today to be able to work on these exciting new projects through the StandUp Brand. As athletes, it is not enough just to have strong bodies. We must have strong characters and use our voices to support those who need and deserve it.”

UK media outlet The Independent reports Cohen, 32, who was player of the year for the Sale Sharks this year, will take up the anti-homophobia and bullying fight through his own specially-formed StandUp foundation.

“Cohen believes he could play for another two years but has turned down offers from clubs in England and France. Instead he will focus on heading up the Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation, which tackles bullying and homophobia,” reports The Independent.

Cohen will launch his 10-day Ben Cohen Acceptance Tour of American cities to include talks, training sessions, and fund-raising events.

  1. My partner actually taught Ben at his private school in Northampton when he was a young guy: always a very nice but sporty chap.

I think he is doing a great thing and will help to spread the cause of anti-gay discrimination, bullying, persecution and victimization so that it will be eradicated to a greater degree.

Thanks Ben – you hero you! :-)

PS: Oh you are so cute too babe!

  2. Kudos to Ben Cohen! A straight guy who is standing up for what he believes in; and is willing to put his name and efforts to it.
