Jedward ‘not gay’: manager

The tour manager of former X Factor contestants Jedward has denied that the Irish twins are gay.

In an interview with New Magazine, Liam McKenna said the flamboyant pair like girls.

The increased speculation came after the duo were questioned about their sexuality while on the UK series of Celebrity Big Brother.

A fellow contestant asked them on the show whether they were gay, but the twins said that although they haven’t had girlfriends, they were not.

“They are really shy. I’m sure they do fancy girls but don’t like talking about sex as they’re probably aware that their granny is watching,” McKenna told the magazine.

He also said the twins, whose real names are John and Edward Grimes, idolise evangelical Christian popstars the Jonas Brothers.

“The Jonas Brothers are their idols and they said they didn’t want sex before marriage. I think the boys live their life by these guys,” he said.

Jedward finished sixth on 2009′s X Factor and won eighth place for Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest.

We’ll leave it up to your keen and perceptive gaydars to decide this one, guys. These videos might help…
