Johnny Weir marries boyfriend

Olympic skater Johnny Weir has announced his marriage to boyfriend Victor Voronov.

The 27-year-old tied the knot with his law graduate partner on New Year’s Eve and tweeted the news shortly after.

“I’m married… all the official stuff is done now! No more livin’ in sin,” he wrote to his Twitter followers.

He later clarified that a ceremony will take place in the US summer.

After much speculation during his career, Weir finally came out last year when excerpts from his memoir were printed in the January 11 US edition of People, explaining his hesitance in disclosing his sexuality.

Weir is reported to have met met Voronov years ago, but the men reconnected sometime last year.
