Mardi Gras CEO resigns

New Mardi Gras CEO, Anna McInerney has resigned.

After five years with NMG, McInerney decided to take on a new events role.

“It was an extremely difficult decision to reach,” she said. “There is always the temptation to go for one more year. It is a role that I have loved and I’m immensely proud of the progress the organisation, its staff, volunteers and partners have made in the last few years.”

The organisation has already begun its search for a replacement, according to NMG co-chair Nick Parker.

“We would have loved to hold on to Anna,” he said, “however we have an ample window to recruit her successor and to effect a smooth transition.”

  1. Mardi Gras…isn’t this the organisation that says it has a zero tolerance policy to recreational drugs at its parties…what a mob of hypocrites!!!!!!!!

  2. Perhpas, Alex, you could just “let it go” …..

Anna has done a great job of assisting this organistaion in rising from the ashes. No one is perfect, but I for one think she’ll be sorely missed.

People – for once, can we NOT be vile about something?

  3. Farewell Anna,

You did a great job through some ‘interesting’ times and your energy and smile will be missed far and wide.

See you under the mirror ball at midnight darling.
