ACON’s alcohol and other drugs project is looking for performers to wear giant foam heads at major events next month.
The performers will attend popular GLBT events including the Mardi Gras Parade and Fair Day, and will make surprise appearances at Oxford St venues to help launch ACON’s online game, Party Safety with the Big Heads.
“It’s a drug and alcohol resource and interactive game,” alcohol and other drugs project officer Tarnia Thompson said.
“Performers will need to attract attention and engage with people as well as be photographed with people with the head on.”
This is a paid job and performers will be accompanied by a minder to help them navigate their way around.
