Speaking out on gay relationships

Internationally renowned author, speaker and self-development teacher Mike Robinson will appear in Sydney this month for several intensive sessions hosted by the Sydney Gay Meditation Group.

Robinson, whose latest book The True Dynamics of Life recently hit the top spot on the Amazon bestseller list, will present a series of talks and workshops which aim to “give participants tools to discover and resolve the issues in their lives that keep them trapped in a cycle of pain”.

Robinson’s free talks will be held at the City Fringe Meditation Space next to City Gym at 7pm on March 22 and at 6pm on March 24.

Sydney Gay Meditation Group will also host Robinson for a five-hour workshop on Saturday, March 26 at the meditation space. The session, titled ‘Relationships as a Mirror: Seeing the Hidden Aspects of Yourself in Another’, costs $300 and will contain information particularly geared towards GLBTI participants.

Robinson posits the theory that everyone — gay or straight — has within them an innately male and female aspect. The workshop will “look at the hidden aspects of how your inner male and female play out in the world and how you attract into your life the very things that need to be dealt with”.

“We need to look inwardly and deeply,” Robinson said.

“We need to challenge ourselves from a micro perspective, to understand how we have been conditioned and how we impact others with our words, actions and beliefs.

“From here we can go to a more macro view of understanding why governments across the world fail us and how we as individuals can take charge of our world.”’

THE state Opposition Leader, Barry O’Farrell, has been forced to defend the Liberal Party’s decision to direct preferences to the Christian Democratic Party in the upper house only a week after ruling out preferencing former One Nation leader, Pauline Hanson, because of her policies.

As flagged by Mr O’Farrell on Friday, pre-poll electoral material prepared by the Liberals instructs voters to direct preferences to key independents in the lower house.

But it also directs voters to place the Christian Democratic Party as its second preference on the upper house ballot.
The Christian Democratic Party, led by its upper house MP, Fred Nile, is standing on a platform of “No Islamisation of Australia”.

The decision by the Liberals increases the likelihood that the CDP’s lead upper house candidate, Paul Green, will be elected.

Labor’s campaign spokesman, Luke Foley, said Mr O’Farrell “would do a deal with just about anyone to win control of the Parliament”.

Mr O’Farrell said it was “a party decision”.
