Online city goes gay

The City of Sydney now has a dedicated gay and lesbian services page on its website.
The move follows a question by Cr Phillip Black in September, prompted by a story in Sydney Star Observer.
“I am prompted by a recent article in the Sydney Star Observer about Kuring-gai Council including a GLBT service page on its website,” Black said.
“The paper provides a list of organisations who provide services for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex communities.
“I am aware the city’s website has a page listing GLBT services that we provide at council, but could this be expanded to include information and links to key community organisations and services, because I know an upgrading is happening on our website?”
As a result the city’s website now includes listings for a handful of GLBT services in the local government area including ACON, Ankali, BGF, the Gender Centre, NSW GLRL, Luncheon Club, Rainbow Recovery and New Mardi Gras.
