Star’s out for Brisbane Pride

SSO Media, publishers of Star Observer and Star Online, will join the 2012 Brisbane Pride Festival as its official media partner.

Star Observer CEO Scott Abrahams said the partnership was further proof of the company’s commitment to the LGBTI community.

“The Star Observer has a proud 34-year history bringing Australians accurate, original and trusted news,” he said.

“Our partnership with Brisbane Pride Festival will help us deliver even more of that quality journalism to even more readers.”

President of Brisbane Pride Festival David Hancock said he was looking forward to getting the message out about the 2012 festival with the help of Star Observer.

“Although Star Observer is new to Queensland, the Pride Festival committee is confident we will get the best possible coverage from the weekly editions of the newspaper which is distributed right across the east coast of Australia,” he said.

Star Online is also the best rated LGBTI website across the whole of Australia which will help us reach people who find it hard to pick up the newspaper.

“We are all looking forward to a fabulous 2012 festival and with the help of Star Observer we plan to let everyone know about it.”
