CoastOut top ten

CoastOut hits Coffs Harbour from October 29-31. Here are my top ten things to do at the three-day event.

1. Opening night – Bob Downe does Coffs Harbour. Come along and enjoy the welcome cocktail party and have a few laughs.

2. Enter an event at the Beach Carnival on Saturday morning. There’s an ocean swim, beach volleyball, or you could even be crowned Iron Person of CoastOut.

3. After your beach activities, head across to Fairday. There will be music, food, stalls, and a variety of entertainment.

4. While at Fairday, come and say hello to the ACON team at their stall, design a placard, and have your photo taken for the This Is Oz campaign.

5. CoastOut Tea Dance. An outdoor dance under the stars, with the water as a backdrop.

6. After the Tea Dance, make your way down to the official after party ‘Trouble in Paradise’. Trouble is a regular party on the local scene and always impresses.

7. Say hello to an ACON Rover. ACON Rovers will be present at both parties. If you’ve got a question, or need any assistance don’t hesitate to go up and ask or just say hi.

8. Sunday morning could see you at the CoastOut surfing competition. Enter the event or simply come down and cheer the brave ones on.

9. Don’t miss the Barefoot Bowls event with a DJ to get you in the mood. Part of the proceeds are donated to ACON.

10. Farewell the CoastOut festival at the CoastOut Beach Party.
