Painting the town pink

Are you an artist with a queer bent? Marrickville Council is searching for visionary talent to produce a large mural celebrating the area’s gay and lesbian community.
The artwork, to be titled Embracing Identity Diversity and Safety, will help promote inclusion and safety for the GLBTI community in the area.
The project is being sponsored by the council’s Gay and Lesbian Liaison at Marrickville (GLL@M) Committee.
Successful applicants will need to submit prototypes or an expression of their ideas by Tuesday September 15.
The winning artist will be chosen by the council’s Public Art Reference Group.

  1. That artwork is from europe somewhere and is NOT of two men. They actually modified it slightly so that there wouldn’t be that confusing. Quite homphobic on the part of that community.
