Katy Perry stands for Aussie equality
Singer Katy Perry has weighed in on the same-sex marriage debate whilst talking on radio station 2DayFM with breakfast announcers Kylie and Jackie O. Perry said she would not vote for opposition Leader Tony Abbott if she was a registered Australian voter because of his stance on same-sex marriage.
“I love you as a human being but I can’t give you my vote,” Perry said.
The statement came after Abbott asked Perry when she was coming back to Australia as part of the breakfast radio show’s challenge to get a number of Australian personalities to ask the US singer a question.
Perry, however, dismissed his question to voice her opinion on equal rights.
