Chaz splits from fiancée
Chaz Bono has split from his fiancé Jennifer Elia, reports TMZ.
“They leave this relationship with great love, respect and affection toward one another,” Howard Bragman, Bono’s spokesman, told the website.
“No further amplification will be forthcoming and they ask that you respect their privacy at this time.”
Bono and Elia had their relationship chronicled in the documentary Becoming Chaz and its sequel Being Chaz, which showed Bono proposing to Elia.
The couple had been together since a blind date in 2005, while Bono was still living as a lesbian woman prior to her transition.
Bono completed his gender reassignment surgery in July, 2010 . This year he became a fan favorite on the US version of Dancing with the Stars.
