Sia gets Glambert’s nod

Adam Lambert has opened up to Idolator about his favourite song and album of 2010 – naming Sia the victor in both categories.

The best thing to emerge from American Idol since Kelly Clarkson gave the Aussie indie pop icon’s ARIA award winning We Are Born his prize for best album and singled out the track Be Good To Me as the best song of the year.

“I have always been a big fan of Sia’s songwriting and voice and I think this year’s release of We Are Born showcases some of her best work yet,” Lambert wrote for the website.

“Not only are her lyrics exposed for us to feel, but so is her voice. It too, is so revealed, raw and cuts right to my heart.”

Be Good To Me, in particular, strikes a chord with Adam.

“Here in this song, she really lets us in. The riff she sings after the first phrase of the vocal is divine. Her voice really sails into a timber full of sympathetic vibration and rich overtones. These are one of her magical moments that give you goose bumps.”

  1. I gave Sia a listen since Adam recommended her. I like her styling on the song. Personally, I like more lyrics , more story to a song. That’s partially why I am such an Adam fan. All his songs have a story w/ very little repition in lyric. I’ll go to itunes and give the rest of her CD a listen because I am not one to judge an artist on one song.
