Chance to perform at Summer Gay Day

Summer Gay Day, the new gay and lesbian outdoor music festival on Saturday 1 December at Kippax Lake in Moore Park, is on the hunt for performers for the Summer Camp stage at the event.
The new music festival is being held on the first day of summer and World AIDS Day, and organisers have put the call out for live performers who can entertain, excite and thrill and who would like to showcase their work on the day.
The call is open to all sorts of performers, from singers to drag queens and kings, comedians to acrobats, who would like to perform at the event.
Summer Gay Day will feature three main entertainment areas, each widely different from the other, around Kippax Lake at Moore Park.
The main arena, the Summer Gay Day Stage, will focus on summer-filled partying music with a good dose of sunshine, funk and body-shaking bass lines.
The second area, Summer Lovin’, on the opposite side of Kippax Lake, will house the Manhunt Stage – an indoor arena with a darker musical taste.
The third stage, built into the side of the lake, will be known as Summer Camp, a live and loud space with off-the-hook comedy, cabaret, festival games and more.
The DJ and entertainment line-up will be announced in SSO later this month.
Performers who would like to be considered, send through details of what you can do to [email protected].
Tickets to Summer Gay Day went on sale on Monday, and a limited number of first release tickets are available for $79 plus booking fee from SameSame.com.au, Hum Records and Salt Clinic at Taylor Square. For more info on the festival, go to www.summergayday.com.au.
