Lobby group reveals Foley email link

Prominent US gay lobby group Human Rights Campaign has revealed one of its employees created the weblog that first published emails sent by disgraced former Republican politician Mark Foley to teenage assistants.Human Rights Campaign said it had fired the former employee, who has not been named, for unauthorised use of company technology, the Advocate reported.The former employee published the Foley emails on the blog in late September, sparking the controversy that led to Foley’s resignation and allegations the Republican Party knew of Foley’s emails but did not act.The former Human Rights Campaign staff member was a junior employee who began work in September.
