The third annual Put A Smile On Your Face GLBT community-based variety show will return to Petersham’s Metropolitan Community Church on Saturday 31 May. Comedian Ronan McChesney will compere the evening, presenting performers including singer Paul Gasper, flagging group The Flaggers, writer Alana Valentine and others. Artistic director Geoff Ivers says it will all add up to an excellent night out. The program is not just dance, comedy, drama and music alone, but a smorgasbord of artistic expression to whet all appetites, he said. A light champagne supper will follow the show. Tickets, costing $25 full or $15 concession, can be booked on 9569 5122 or purchased at the door. The MCC is located at 96 Crystal St, Petersham, and the show starts at 8pm. The Metropolitan Community Church serves the GLBT community. MCC’s welfare agency provides beds, furniture, basic household goods, Sunday lunches and a part-time social worker for members of the community facing tough times.
