NEWSFLASH (17/7/03, 5pm): The Uniting Church today voted in favour of allowing openly gay and lesbian
members to be ordained as ministers, AAP reported. The vote followed two days of debate and discussion at the 10 Triennial Assembly of the Church in Melbourne, and the vote was passed with an overwhelming majority.
