Sleaze Ball virgins The Potbelleez have started rehearsals for this year’s Sleaze Ball.

The DJ foursome behind the hit track Don’t Hold Back are no strangers to Sydney’s gay scene, having recorded their early songs in their Darlinghurst terrace.

Their set at Sleaze 2008 will put them before more than 5000 people at the biggest dress-up event on Sydney’s calendar -” and they can’t wait.

We imagine the crowd will be shiny and excessive so we’re expecting full-blown party monsters on technicolour dreamboats, the band said in an official statement.

Ministry of Sound legend Alan Thompson will be giving The Potbelleez a run for their money in the Hordern, and he’s got history on his side having played at Sleaze eight years ago. Between sets he’s been to Ibiza and back, by way of UK super clubs Trade and DTPM.

info: Sleaze Ball is on Saturday 4 October. Tickets available through Ticketek.
