Sydney and the North Coast will host some of the country’s most memorable New Year’s Eve parties. Here’s a selection of some of the events you need to consider.

Bacchanalia

DJ Paul Holden will be playing a phenomenal nine-hour set at the Midnight Shift’s NYE retro party. Holden’s set will compromise the best tracks from the late ’80s, early ’90s and the most classic disco tracks you can recall. Don’t miss this opportunity to Step Back In Time to the great music that defined an era, all in one hell of a good time New Year’s Eve event. Tropical Fruits

This year the Tropical Fruits New Year party at Lismore Showground will have a midnight fantasy theme. The event will kick off at 8pm with DJs from all over the country including Ish, Ruby, Shigeki, Buck Naked, Sveta, Matt Vaughn and Kimo, playing over three dance pavilions. The Splash pool party will be on the following day from 10am with DJs Kitty Glitter and Justin Scott, followed by a recovery party from 4pm with DJs Mr G, Les Smith, and Tobin Saunders. Cream Tangerine

Cream Tangerine in Bondi will host a Golden Era of the High Seas party. Dress in 1920s glamour or desert island beachwear. The Bongo Virus

Australia’s hottest DJs, Kaz James and DJ Havana Brown will play Paris Hilton’s launch of The Bongo Virus at the Trademark. There is a limited number of tickets to the exclusive event, which will be themed urban voodoo versus modern jungle militia. Details: www.thebongovirus.com.

Palms

Palms will go camp on NYE with DJ B playing hits from the ’80s to the millennium. Doors open at 8pm. Drag queen Amanda Difor will perform from 10pm. Complimentary light bar snacks and cover is $25.

Arq
It’s Dance Dance Dance at Arq this New Year’s Eve with DJs Matt Steer, Jake Kilby, Nick Jay, Sandi Hotrod and Mark Loasby. Tickets start from $45 pre-sale from Bang clothing, Arq and Tool Shed.
