Celebrity auction to help Japan

A group of EMI artists have donated memorabilia to a charity auction to help raise funds for the victims of last month’s earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

The auction, which is reported to be one of the biggest in eBay’s history, starts today and closes on April 21.

Items up for grabs in the auction include a cupcake trampoline featured in Katy Perry’s current California Dreams world tour, the MacBook used by David Guetta to create demos for his One Love album and a signed collectable from Kylie’s Fever campaign.

All funds raised go to the Japanese Red Cross and will be used for the ongoing provision of immediate relief to the areas affected by the earthquake.

The EMI Group has committed to match the cash raised from the auction up to one million Euros.
