Kim Wilde returns
’80s pop star Kim Wilde is hitting the comeback trail with an album of cover versions called Snapshots set for release on August 26.
While the hits dried up for the 50-year-old in Australia some ago, she has remained popular in Europe – recording an album in Germany last year and even writing a gardening book.
The Kids In America singer is hoping to experience greater chart success this time around with an album of covers from the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s.
She is selecting songs that have influenced and inspired her and is hoping to add a personal touch to the offering by calling on fans to submit photos for the cover art.
