“How many gays does God have to create?”

Hearings in the US state of Minnesota’s House of Representatives regarding a state ban on same-sex marriage has seen some spirited debate.

Representative Steve Simon’s response was particularly moving, with the member of Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party asking: “How many more people does God have to create before we ask ourselves whether or not God actually wants them around?”
