Arts factory wants all-night trade
The Oxford Art Factory is the latest venue to seek ongoing all-night trading hours.
The application, which is available for public comment until 17 October, also seeks to reduce the venue’s live entertainment requirements during its evening hours as a nightclub.
The venue’s previous provisions required at least three different forms of entertainment between 6pm and 6am each night, including live music, DJs, arthouse cinema, theatre, dance, and fashion shows.
The premises must not operate solely as a nightclub and shall be a venue which has a market orientation toward art, live performances, and supporting cultural events and endeavours, the venue’s plan of management states. Underage patrons will no longer be allowed on the premises after 8pm under the plans on display at the City of Sydney’s website.
