Burning up the floor
They have scorched their way across 93 cities around the world, and now the sexy Burn The Floor dancers are bringing their best moves back into town with an all-new show, FloorPlay, which opens at the Star City Showroom on 26 July.
Directed and choreographed by Jason Gilkison, former world champion ballroom dancer, FloorPlay promises a range of new numbers, new sequences and, being a ballroom and Latin dance spectacular, there are new sequins too!
But there is also no shortage of flesh on display as the 16 award-winning (and very toned) dancers strip down and strut their best moves across the stage.
FloorPlay, as its name implies, is breathtakingly sexy, Gilkison says.
It is all about sensuous, explosive dancing. FloorPlay turns up the heat that much further on stage -“ it’s ballroom dancing supercharged.
While Burn The Floor began in Australia six years ago, the troupe has since performed all over the world.
During the most recent UK season, London’s The Independent newspaper got a little overheated by the sexy stage antics and proclaimed, So hot, it probably contributes to global warming.
