Pearls a-shimmer

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander GLBT Social Support Group is holding its fourth Black Pearls night on 29 September at Mr Mary’s in Redfern.
The night starts at 8pm and will feature a range of cabaret acts, drag acts and DJ Sister Agnes Ware from Koori Radio 93.7 FM.
The event will be kicked off with an elder greeting followed by entertainment and finger food.
The support group provides workshops on HIV and related issues to community members and service providers, health education resources, assessment and referral for individuals, facilitation of support groups and events for the GLBT ATSI community.
A gold coin donation will get you into the Saturday night event, with the money and cash raised via raffles on the evening helping fund ACON’S Aboriginal Project.
