Workshops for you
This weekend, if you are around down south, you will find me and other ACON team members at Albury Community Health Centre.
After being postponed due to the bushfires, the community health promotion workshop that was to have run earlier this year has come around again. It is being held this Saturday 2 May at the Community Health Centre (596 Smollett St) and runs from 9am to 4.30pm. It will cover an introduction to health promotion principles and work in preparation for an upcoming community-driven project across the greater southern area.
The workshop is open to everyone in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community as well as interested services from the Albury/Wodonga area and southern NSW.
This free workshop is a great opportunity for people to get involved in building the health and wellbeing of the community in southern NSW, give ACON feedback on health and GLBT social concerns you have in your area, and to find out more about the other work we do.

Another upcoming event for the diary is the Exploring Intimacy workshop coming up in May. People from the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender community or those who are living with or affected by HIV are invited to a safe and confidential weekend therapeutic workshop that will explore how intimacy works with our sense of self, our relationships and our community.
Exploring Intimacy will run from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May at the ACON Illawarra Community Space. This workshop will be facilitated by Christine Wilkinson and Ann-Maree Rundle and a commitment to attend both days is essential.
