Is this Madonna’s Australian tour itinerary?

Madonna fans in Australia are hoping a leaked document, claimed to feature details of a 2012 Australian tour, is legitimate.

The itinerary was leaked by an “anonymous music industry insider” to a Madonna fan site in the US.

There’s still no confirmation or denial from representatives of the pop star as to the document’s authenticity, but it lists a press conference in Beverly Hills on Monday, October 31 as the occasion in which the details were set to be announced.

The draft schedule shows the Australian leg of the tour as commencing in Sydney on April 5 at ANZ Stadium and include shows in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and concluding in Perth on April 24.

It was announced in July this year that Madonna had begun work on her 15th studio album and in August, alcohol brand Smirnoff released details on its website regarding an international dance contest indicating that successful finalists would be dancing with Madonna.

The terms and conditions included that entrants must have a 12 month validity on their passport from March 2012 and make themselves available to countries including Australia and New Zealand.

Madonna’s last performance in Australia was in 1993. She was scheduled for another tour in 2008/09 but reportedly cancelled due to the global financial crisis.
