Sydney’s gay swimming club, Wett Ones, will hold its 12th annual swimming carnival from 2:30pm this Saturday, May 29 at Sydney University Sports & Aquatic Centre. The carnival brings together various swim clubs from across Sydney, plus swimmers from sister GLBT clubs in Wellington, Brisbane and Melbourne. Check next week’s Sydney Star Observer for all the pics and results from the day. Sadly, the Wett Ones lost a former member on May 15 – Ian Davis, who held numerous positions at the club before moving to Queensland and becoming a member of Brisbane Aqualicious, passed away suddenly from a heart attack while competing at the Noosa Swimming Carnival.
