First Taylor Square Market this Saturday

First Taylor Square Market this Saturday

The first ever Taylor Square Farmer’s Market is on this Saturday from 8am.

Regional farmers and producers will offer fresh produce and a taste of the country to inner-city residents every week.

Seasonal fruit and vegetables, free-range poultry and eggs, rare-breed meats, fish, handmade pasta, cheeses, condiments and a range of other produce are expected to transform the market from its normal early morning recovery location to a hive of colour and activity.

The market will run until 1pm and, if successful, will develop from a retail centre for fresh produce into a place where people can not only grab their groceries, but also learn about urban sustainability, cooking and other sustainable lifestyle seminars.
